Confluence is a collaborative exhibition that unites the innovative practice of Christophe Domergue with a selection of Yallingup Galleries artists.
The title, meaning the junction of two rivers of approximately equal width, reflects the meeting of distinct creative streams, different artists, mediums, and approaches merging to form something new and harmonious.
At the centre of this exhibition is Christophe’s pioneering technique, 'Peelings', in which layers of resin, pigment and fibreglass are lifted from urban surfaces to create sculptural canvases.
For Confluence, Christophe will create a series of these peelings onsite at Yallingup Galleries, which will then be reinterpreted by invited artists through their own unique styles. The result is a dialogue between material and creativity, where individuality and collaboration meet in a shared exploration of texture and form.
