“I am incredibly inspired by Christophe’s unique Peelings. They evoke thoughts & stirrings around imprints in time…and place. 

To be invited to create onto one of the peelings was such a gift to my artist’s muse, exploratory nature and imagination.

The visual aspect of the peeling….seeing the surface’s texture, grit & pattern inspired and held my attention. 

I saw a cheeky face peeking out, simultaneously suspended in the substrate whilst also emerging from the ‘landscape’.

Prompting memories of people and place, that I both love and miss. A conversation started, colour flowed, a face appeared…’Rockpools & Archipelagos’ came into being.
