Reflecting on making this piece, I usually do start with a varied and colourful background of unplanned shapes, accidental marks etc... The extra challenge came with the extremely rough textured earthy surface . Igniting a challenge to me, The rough earthy background of the peeling, really propelled me into a completely different way of placing the colours down.

it quickly came more and more a dreamy piece, the electric blue and hot pinks seems to want to counter balance the greys and dirty colours of the ground and the whites just jumped off the surface, when finished I could feel the influence of native Australian indigenous art and their closeness to the land.
