Michael Vincent Murphy

Michael was born in Poole, Dorset, England in 1943. He emigrated to South Africa with his parents in 1950. From 1961 to 1983 he worked in various commercial art fields, painting in his spare time. In 1984 studied for a year at the Port Elizabeth School of Art and Design, South Africa, after which he started painting full time.
He emigrated from South Africa to Perth, Australia in 1999. He now lives and works in Mandurah, South of Perth.

He paints in the realist tradition.
