Bradley Kickett is a Noongar artist born in Northam and raised in Perth. Descended from the Kickett clan of York, Western Australia, his practice is deeply connected to Noongar Country and the histories and stories shared with him by his family and Elders.
Since beginning to paint in 2007, Bradley has developed a fluid, abstract style that interprets the landscape from an aerial perspective. His work draws inspiration from his experiences of Country, from oceans and rivers to wildflowers and the flowing shapes of the land.
Through interwoven forms and movement, Bradley brings together his observations of the natural environment with the knowledge passed down through generations. His paintings express a personal connection to Country, family and cultural heritage.
