Vania Lawson

Vania Lawson is a Perth based, Australian artist with a background in design and scenic art.

Her artworks are alluring places, beautiful emotive landscapes of her surrounds that have a luminous quality that draws the viewer into the work.

By creating multiple layers on the landscape, then revealing areas she builds the artwork up, this creates a cyclical process, illuminated by light & shadowed by darkness the landscapes I paint are transformed by the changing light of the day.

Vania’s work speaks of things that are timeless, “I feel that for most of us our oceans, skies and rural landscapes represents something that is engaging, comforting & enduring.
