A collaborative exhibition by Christophe Domergue
Following the success of Confluence Yallingup at Yallingup Galleries in Western Australia, Confluence Hong Kong marks the next chapter in Christophe Domergue’s evolving collaborative exhibition concept, presented at the Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2026.
At the centre of the project is Christophe’s innovative Peeling process. Using resin, pigment, and fibreglass, he lifts and preserves fragments of urban surfaces, capturing their texture, history, and memory. These one-off peelings become the foundation for collaboration, with invited artists responding directly to each surface, allowing the material itself to guide the final work.
Often sourced from significant sites, the peelings carry the physical imprint of place. Each work becomes both a material record and a creative exchange — a collaboration not only between artists, but between artist and environment.
Confluence Hong Kong brings together a group of Australian artists including Tanya Cole, Leanne Pearson, Kat Hardwick, Emma Skinner, Gina D’Alessandro, and Millie Gillespie. Together, the exhibition reveals a dynamic dialogue between abstraction and representation, surface and image, memory and transformation.
The full collection will be available for preview and purchase online via our Artsy platform:

Confluence is both a brand and an expanding exhibition platform built on connection. Each work is a unique collaboration, shaped by the embedded history of the surface and the artist’s individual response, resulting in a collection that is materially rich and conceptually layered.
