Olive wood and Tamala limestone
Description:
Our marine life is precious and here Alan has portrayed a trio of old wives, reef fish synonymous with the south-west coastline.
The bodies of the fish are carved from olive branches pruned at Cape Mentelle Wines, Margaret River. The fins and tails are cut from an old oil drum. Every component has a story. The artist’s use of recycling components demonstrates his commitment to the environment and sustainability.

Any commercially available furniture oil, such as tung oil, can be used for this application. Penetrol is used for outdoor settings and office higher levels of protection and should be applied every 6 months to 1 year.
