Vivienne was born in England, and has lived in Perth WA for many years
Her artistic life started in ceramics but that gave way to product design for many years. Vivienne's interest in glass is a long held one, but she only started working in kiln formed glass in about 2008.
Vivienne lives on the coast and her constant inspiration is the sea. The colours and movement never fails to excite her and the elusive nature of the ocean means a never ending desire to keep trying to capture some part of this – and glass is the perfect medium.
Vivienne's work is kiln formed, often using multiple layers to achieve a three dimensional effect. She works mostly with clear glass and frits using pre formed glass elements to incorporate into the layers. She likes to use natural daylight as a backdrop to provide light and shade.
