With 35 years’ experience working as a Cabinet Maker, Mark first started his career at a company called Ashworth’s Country Workshop at the age of 16 years working with UK timbers such as Pine, Oak and Ash. Working his way up within the company from a young age, he was promoted as Assistant Manager at the age of 27 years.
He then went on to start his own business, a company called ‘Quarry Furniture’. Working closely with his clients, he designed and created custom made furniture pieces in a wide range of materials and solid timbers and being a part of achieving their ultimate goal was a pleasure.
With the opportunity to immigrate to Australia, Mark came to live and work in Margaret River, where he first worked for Boranup Gallery with a team of people sharing expertise and learning to make fine furniture with local timbers such as Marri, Jarrah, Blackbutt, Yellow Tingle and others.
Having the privilege of working alongside an Artist at B Wood Design and making fine furniture to retail in Yallingup Galleries he also runs his own business Quarry Furniture with a workshop in Cowaramup.
“I am passionate in what I do being able to create beautiful furniture, some would say a perfectionist, for all areas of my clients home”. – Mark Langton.
